A lively autumn bouquet built around sunflowers. In the photo you see several open sunflowers (Helianthus annuus) with their clear yellow petals and dark centres — they give the bouquet its focal point.
Beside them bloom vivid red Leucospermum, also known as the pincushion protea, with their striking spiky flower heads — an exotic accent that pairs unusually well with the sunflowers. Bronze-copper pompon chrysanthemums with their dense, layered blooms complement the warm palette, joined by deep red roses for additional depth.
Yellow Craspedia balls (drumsticks) and yellow Solidago bring fine, lighter dots. Red Hypericum berries and a few burgundy eucalyptus shoots round out the mix.
The mood is warm, rustic and very autumnal — like a clear September day with deep sunlight.
