A Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid) in an unusually vivid blue tone. In the photo you see a plant with a single flowering stem whose blooms shine in a luminous royal blue — the blue colour is achieved through dyeing, since Phalaenopsis orchids do not occur in this shade in nature. After the first flowering phase, new blooms usually grow back in the natural white colour.
The dark green, glossy leaves at the base of the plant are thick and leathery — typical of the Phalaenopsis.
The plant likes a bright spot away from harsh midday sun. With watering, it is modest — we briefly dip the root ball into room-temperature water once a week, let it drain, and then place it back. We avoid standing water in the decorative pot.
The plant is delivered in a simple beige decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
