A well-tended indoor bonsai with a small-leaved crown and a visible, gnarled trunk. In the photo you see a crown shaped in several tiers of dense, deep green foliage — like small green clouds resting on top of one another. The trunk is light grey and lightly grained, with clearly visible roots branching out from the base of the soil.
Bonsai are not succulents and not lucky charms but real little trees, shaped over years. That is exactly what makes them special — every plant is individual, every crown different.
Care is manageable but requires attention. A bright spot away from harsh midday sun is ideal. With watering, regularity is key — the soil should never dry out completely, but should also never sit wet. We briefly dip the root ball into room-temperature water, let it drain, and then place it back. In summer this may be needed every few days, less often in winter.
The bonsai is delivered in a flat rectangular bonsai dish in beige, as shown in the photo. The dish may differ slightly from the photo.
