The Dieffenbachia (Dieffenbachia), also known here as Dumb Cane, is a very decorative house plant. In the photo you see large, oval leaves with a striking pattern — the inner part of the leaves is light green to cream, the edges are dark green, with fine speckles and marbling across the whole surface.
The plant looks upright and compact, with several leaves standing like little fans in all directions.
Dieffenbachias like a bright spot away from direct midday sun. They cope with partial shade as well, although the leaf pattern then becomes a little less pronounced. With watering, we keep the soil evenly slightly moist. We pour off any standing water from the decorative pot.
Important to know: as with many arum family plants, the sap and plant parts should be kept out of reach of pets and small children. When repotting, it is best to wear gloves.
The plant is delivered in a light ceramic decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
