A colour-rich bouquet in warm, vivid tones. At its centre opens a large red-orange rose, joined by a second vividly red rose. An orange Asiatic lily (Lilium) shows its widely spread petals with the fine dark speckles in the middle. Beside them bloom vivid pink carnations and pastel pink ruffled carnations in several layers.
To these are added deep red, full carnations and magenta-violet snapdragons (Antirrhinum) rising with their pointed tips out of the bouquet. A few closed lily buds in light green are still waiting to open — a beautiful effect for the days ahead in the vase.
The whole is framed by dark green leaves that provide a calm backdrop.
