A very expressive foliage plant from the prayer plant family (Maranta-Calathea relatives). In the photo you see oval dark green leaves traced with striking lighter green-cream stripes along the leaf veins — a very clear, almost graphic pattern.
The plant feels upright and bushy, with several stems coming straight from the soil.
Prayer plants like a bright spot away from direct midday sun. A place in the living room with daylight or in a bathroom with some brightness suits them well. With watering, we keep the soil evenly slightly moist — they do not like to dry out. A little humidity does them especially well, particularly in winter above a heater.
A small particularity: some varieties fold their leaves up in the evening, almost as if in prayer — hence the name prayer plant.
The plant is delivered in a simple white decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
