The Spathiphyllum — also called the Peace Lily — with its long, glossy dark green leaves and the white bracts that float above the plant like small sails. From each of these white bracts a cream-coloured spadix rises, carrying the actual bloom.
In the picture, the plant stands in a simple cream-coloured stoneware pot on a wooden table — a calm combination that suits many living rooms and offices.
The Peace Lily is a very rewarding house plant. It likes partially shaded spots away from direct midday sun and needs water regularly — when the leaves begin to droop slightly, that is a sign it is thirsty. After watering, it recovers within a few hours.
The plant blooms over several weeks and takes pauses in between. With more light there are usually more blooms at the same time, with less light fewer. It also cleans the room air.
The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo, depending on what we currently have in stock. If you would like a particular colour, let us know.
