The Pink Azalea (Rhododendron simsii) shows soft, light pink flowers in trumpet-shaped cups in the photo. Fine, darker speckles are visible in the centres of the blooms — typical of the Azalea. The small, narrow leaves underneath are dark green and slightly glossy.
The plant is compact and bushy, fully covered in buds and open blooms. It stays decorative for weeks at a time, especially in the cooler season.
Azaleas like light, but not heat. A cool spot — perhaps in the stairwell, in a bright bedroom, or by a window away from direct midday sun — suits them best. They do not feel comfortable in dry, overheated air.
With watering, the rule is: keep evenly moist, but never standing in water. Once a week we briefly dip the root ball into room-temperature water, let it drain, and then place it back. That way the Azalea gets everything it needs.
The plant is delivered in a cream white ceramic decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
