A Guzmania (bromeliad) in a warm pink-coral tone. In the photo you see the characteristic upright flower spike with vivid pink bracts pointing up like a small flame. The individual bract tips are slightly waved and a touch lighter in tone — a beautiful liveliness in the colour.
The long, narrow leaves underneath are dark green and glossy. They form a clean rosette around the stem.
Bromeliads are uncomplicated. The Guzmania likes a bright spot away from harsh midday sun. Water goes directly into the central funnel cup formed by the leaf rosette — we change the water every one to two weeks so it stays fresh. We keep the soil only lightly moist.
The flower spike stays beautiful for a long time — often several months. When it eventually fades, the plant usually produces pups (offshoots), which you can use to grow it on.
The plant is delivered in a simple cream ceramic decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
