A Guzmania in a warm, dark pink — almost red with a coral tone. In the photo you see the typical upright flower spike with vividly toned bracts standing in a flame-like form. The tips of the bracts are slightly lighter, which gives the spike additional depth.
The leaves underneath are long, narrow and glossy dark green, forming the typical clean rosette of the Bromeliaceae.
This plant is surprisingly low-maintenance. The Guzmania wants a bright spot away from direct midday sun. Water goes directly into the central funnel cup formed by the leaf rosette — we change the water every one to two weeks so it stays fresh. We keep the soil only lightly moist.
The colourful flower spike often lasts for months. When it eventually fades, the plant can produce pups (offshoots), which you can use to grow it on.
The plant is delivered in a light grey, simple ceramic decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
