A particularly beautiful variant of the rubber plant (Ficus elastica) with variegated leaves. In the photo you see oval leaves coloured in a mix of deep dark green, light green areas, cream-white edges and a delicate pink shimmer on the younger shoots — a very lively, almost painterly look. This variant is often sold as Ficus elastica "Tineke" or "Ruby".
The rubber plant likes a bright spot, ideally with a little morning sun, but no harsh midday sun. Direct light helps the variegation keep its colour intensity. With watering, we let the upper layer of soil dry out between waterings. It does not like waterlogging.
An occasional wipe of the leaves with a damp cloth keeps the gloss fresh.
The plant is delivered in a cream-coloured ceramic decorative pot with a discreet mushroom pattern in antique pink and a saucer, as shown in the photo, with moss on the soil surface. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
