A young, compact rubber plant (Ficus elastica). In the photo you see a smaller specimen with several stems coming straight from the soil — a compact, bushy form without a tall main trunk. The leaves are oval, dark green and beautifully glossy; many of them sit closely together and give the plant its calm, closed look.
This smaller variant is especially well suited to a chest of drawers, a windowsill or a side table.
The rubber plant likes a bright spot, ideally with daylight but no harsh midday sun. With watering, we let the upper layer of soil dry out between waterings — it usually forgives a missed watering easily. In winter, considerably less water is needed.
An occasional wipe of the leaves with a damp cloth keeps the gloss fresh and always looks tidy.
The plant is delivered in a cream-white, slightly textured ceramic decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
