The Weeping Fig (Ficus benjamina) is a true classic among house plants. In the photo you see three specimens beside one another — an indication that the Weeping Fig comes to us in several varieties: in the classic rich green, in a variegated form with cream-white edges and small light speckles, and in a darker green, glossy version.
The leaves are small, oval and slightly tapered. They sit closely on the slim stems and give the plant its typically finely branched silhouette.
The Weeping Fig likes light, ideally with a little morning sun, but no harsh midday sun. With watering, we keep the soil evenly slightly moist. Important: it reacts sensitively to changes of location and to draughts — it sometimes sheds a few leaves when it moves. This usually settles down after a few weeks once it has acclimatised.
The plant is delivered in a simple ceramic decorative pot, like one of the variants in the photo. The decorative pot and the exact variety may differ slightly from the photo.
