The Zamioculcas zamiifolia, also known as the Zanzibar Gem or simply ZZ plant. Several upright stems grow straight from the soil, each set with glossy, oval, dark green leaflets sitting in pairs opposite one another. The form is clear and almost architectural.
In the picture, the plant stands in a simple dark grey stoneware pot on a wooden table — a calm combination that suits many home styles.
The Zamioculcas is probably the most low-maintenance house plant of all. It forgives you when you forget to water it for weeks because it stores water in its underground tubers. In summer, a little water every two to three weeks is enough; in winter even less often — better kept too dry than too wet.
It copes with almost any location — from bright rooms to shady corners. A good choice for beginners, for travellers or for someone looking for a plant that gets along without much attention.
The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo, depending on what we currently have in stock. We at MO BLUMEN bring the Zamioculcas fresh from our atelier in Vienna to you. plants from our atelier
