In the photo you see a Peace Lily, also known as the Spath (Spathiphyllum). It shows several white bracts in their typical, gently rolled form, rising from dark green, glossy foliage — the leaves are oblong-oval and feel very alive.
The Peace Lily is one of the most rewarding house plants. It copes with less light than many others — a bright to partially shaded spot away from direct midday sun is ideal. With watering, it likes a regular routine but no waterlogging. When it needs water, it lets its leaves droop slightly — once you water, it usually rises again within a short time.
A little humidity does it good, especially in winter above a heater. Occasional misting or wiping of the leaves keeps them nice and glossy.
The plant is delivered in a simple cream-coloured decorative pot, as shown in the photo. The decorative pot may differ slightly from the photo.
